Lower School

Kindergarten through 5th grade are foundational years for a students education. Lower school begins with the journey of learning to read. As soon as the reading lightbulb goes off, lower school shifts to students reading to learn. Simultaneously students learn to speak the language of numeracy. Math comes to life with hands-on activities, memorization of facts and challenges to apply the concepts at Valor. Science and social studies play a vital role in elementary education by fostering critical thinking, expanding students' knowledge base, promoting cultural awareness and preparing them for responsible citizenship. Valor's lower school students have the chance to explore through weekly art, music, physical education and technology classes. At the center of all of this learning is a Biblical worldview.
