Redirect Investment

Did you know that you can redirect your state tax dollars
to create a student scholarship?

The state of Georgia allows taxpayers the opportunity to REDIRECT a portion of their state taxes to the VCA scholarship fund. VCA partners with two student scholarship organizations, GOAL and GaSSO to create scholarships for our full-time and hybrid students.

In 2008 the state of Georgia created the Qualified Education Expense Tax Credit Program which provides the incredible opportunity to redirect a portion of your state tax dollars towards a scholarship fund for the private school of your choice.  You may begin your registration and redirection of your tax dollars today by visiting GOAL for full-time scholarships or GaSSO for hybrid scholarships!

The Tax Credit Program allocates millions of GA state tax dollars to be redirected to Student Scholarship Organizations for the upcoming school year.

Individuals, married couples, and businesses can claim 100% dollar-for-dollar tax credits (not a deduction) on their Georgia income tax for scholarship donations made through a qualified Student Scholarship Organization (SSO), up to the following limits:

Tax Credit Limits Based on Filing Status
 - Single individual or head of household – up to $1,000
 - Married couple filing a joint return – up to $2,500
 - Married couple filing a separate return – up to $1,250
 - S corporation shareholder, LLC member, or partnership partner – up to $10,000
 - C corporation or Trust – up to 75% of annual Georgia income tax liability
