A Journey Through Graduation

From Kindergarten to commencement, every step matters.

Watching your child grow at Valor is a journey like no other. From their very first day of preschool through the milestone of graduation, every year is carefully designed to nurture curiosity, character, and faith.

At Valor, each stage of your child’s education is intentionally designed to prepare them not just for graduation, but for the rest of their life. From building confidence and friendships to developing leadership and character, every year equips them to thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.

We’re honored to walk alongside you and your child through every chapter of this journey. Here’s a look at what you can expect:

Lower School | Pre-K3-5th Grade

Lower school is where we build the foundation for your student as they are seen, known, and loved. There is no rush to be the first to read, write in perfect cursive, or level up to chapter books before anyone else. Our priority is to establish a lifelong love of learning woven with biblical truth, and this begins with our littlest Lions.

We do this through hands-on learning at every opportunity. When a child has the chance to use his hands to dig in the dirt, plant seeds, cultivate, and ultimately harvest the fruits (and vegetables!) of his labor, the wonder of nature and science truly comes to life. The community garden, built by our very own Valor High School student as part of her Eagle Scout project, is located at our Valor North building. Adjacent are the Valor honeybees; students watch in awe as they work to pollinate the garden and, in turn, provide us with honey harvests.

As they grow in confidence and understanding, young students are invited to participate in special programs like Innovation Expo and Science Fair, where they expand on critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Opportunities to present to their peers and a panel of judges increase confidence and excitement, encouraging students to boldly explore new paths.

Middle School | 6-8th Grade

Independence is the name of the game in middle school, and we walk alongside students to empower them to grow independently while serving their community with heart and purpose. Student involvement opportunities such as our Student Ambassadors Program, Valor Athletics, Valor News Crew, and Worship Team allow our middle school students to explore their God-given talents and interests while developing leadership skills.

Middle school at Valor drives a strong emphasis on service through volunteer service hours and the opportunity to serve lower school students as they become the “big” R3 buddy. Our R3 program pairs older and younger students together as they model being Respectful, Responsible, and Relational citizens.

Expanded biblical curriculum and foundations of world religions help equip students with tools to defend their faith. We understand they won’t live in the bubble of Christian school forever, nor do we want them to!

Our goal is to teach students how to think, not what to think, as they dive deeper into academics to prepare for high school and beyond.

High School | 9-12th Grade

The final stretch of the journey… High school students are equipped to step confidently into the next chapter of life through our 4 days/week on campus model, where they have the opportunity to work, intern, or dual enroll in college courses.

This “soft launch” approach to adulthood brings to life our vision to launch servant leaders who shape culture through a biblical worldview. We want our students to be prepared for college and ready for life:

  • College preparedness through PSAT/SAT prep, academic advising support, and college expos

  • Diploma of Distinction Program allows students to explore career interests through in-field discovery, such as piloting, sonography, and nursing

  • Prepared for life through the Life Skills curriculum, personal & financial literacy, economics, and government studies

  • Continued Biblical theology studies related directly to current world issues, which allows these young adults to confidently have meaningful scripture-backed conversations and debates

And of course, the true high school experience, including Athletics, Upper School retreat, class trips, prom, and amazing memories are all a part of the package.

Alumni Students and Families

Our alumni relationships carry well beyond the graduation stage. Long before the cap and gown, Valor students truly become family. Parents are walking this journey together, raising their families in step while supporting one another through prayer and petition along the way. That kind of relationship doesn’t just end.

We love welcoming our alumni students and their parents for special events like our Annual Alumni Tailgate, hosting former students to speak on panels and at special events like Veterans Day, and inviting them to join us in impacting the next generation of VCA students.

Thank you for being a part of the journey!
