The Valor Blog
Welcome to the Valor Blog! We’re so glad you’re here. Our hope is that this space gives you a deeper look into the heart of our community—what’s happening on campus and the impact extending beyond it.
At Valor, we partner with parents in a Jesus-centered community to educate, strengthen, and equip the whole child. This blog is a window into how that mission is lived out each day through the experiences of our students, staff, families, grandparents, and alumni.
A Note from Leadership: What Makes Us Different?
In Alpharetta and surrounding cities, parents have an incredible amount of options for their child’s education. Competition is at an all-time high, and the abundance of public, private, and homeschool programs can be overwhelming. It is becoming increasingly difficult to decipher which route is “best” – after all, no parent desires to look back with regret in the path they set for such formative years.
Every child is uniquely created, with both common needs and individual differences—and our responsibility is to understand each one deeply so they can grow and flourish. Valor offers two primary modes of learning: traditional full time where students are on campus for all learning days, and hybrid which breaks up on-campus learning with at-home reinforcement. Virtual instruction is also available for qualifying students and those interested in specialized subjects.
No matter the choice of instructional mode for your family, we keep our parents involved every step of the way. Our parent community is incredible, serving our students and staff through our Parent Teacher Fellowship, Men of Valor, Parents in Prayer group and ongoing volunteer opportunities. You are invited to come alongside your child, teachers and administration to walk out our mission in partnering with parents in a Jesus-centered community to educate, strengthen and equip students for the future.
The beauty in this intentional and flexible structure for learning is that a single family can take advantage of multiple learning modes as it suits their individual children without having to shuttle kids across town to different schools. We believe that in partnering with parents, we have the unique ability to tailor a family’s school experience based on the needs of each child within that family.
Above all, everything we do is anchored in biblical truth. Yes, academics are critical. Of course athletics and enrichment opportunities play a vital role in growth and exploration of God-given talents. But Jesus is kept at the center of every lesson, every craft, every victory and every loss. Whether your family is just beginning the journey in primary school or if your child is being overlooked and simply pushed through the system, we invite you to come and see the Valor difference.
Launching Servant Leaders
At Valor Christian Academy, our vision is to launch servant leaders who shape culture through a biblical worldview. One of the ways we do this within our school walls is by having school-wide service projects throughout the school year. Some of these projects are led by our high school students who are working towards their Diploma of Distinction.
At the beginning of the spring semester, one of our Class of 2026 seniors, Jessica, planned & led a school-wide service project for her Diploma of Distinction in Ultrasound. Jessica partnered with The Hope Center in…
