Chalk Talk for the Week of January 6th, 2025
Happy New Year!
It is 2025 and as we move into the 3rd quarter, I am grateful to be back in the classroom with your students. I will continue to actively introduce new material and build upon ideas and concepts learned in the first semester of school. My goal is to challenge your child’s learning, while also encouraging each student to reach for their personal best, in all that they do.
I love this quote by author and educator, Dr. Harry Wong, “In an effective classroom, students should not only know what they are doing, they should also know why and how.” This is my goal daily, but even more so, God’s Word is our true foundation and our true goal in the classroom. Romans 15:13 says, “I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.”
I pray that our classroom will continue to be one that encourages effective learning in every student, and a place where kindness, peacefulness, joy, hope, and trust prevail. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your child’s learning and growing this school year! Happy 2025!
Blessings and peace be yours!
